  2. New game

  4. You may select this option at any time to start a new game. The checkers and cube will reset to the start position. The score will remain unaffected.

If you replay a game, your current preferences and score will be written over by the data contained in the file that was opened.  Before starting a new game a window will open asking if you want to resume then previous setup. Answering yes will recall the name, score and menu setup in use before the position or game file was opened.

  9. Save game

  11. If this menu option is checked, then 窶廣 Save file as . . . 窶œ window will appear at the end of each game. This will prevent you from erasing a game that you would like to save. If you rarely save the game simply turn this option off.

  13. Saving the game will store the dice rolls, the checker moves, the cube action, the player窶冱 name, the starting and ending score and the number of points in the match.

  15. If you can窶冲 finish a game and have to quit this application, don窶冲 worry as the game played up to that point will automatically be saved in the EXBG prefs file.

  18. Replay game

  20. Choose from the list of your stored game files.  Game files are represented by the stacked checker icon. Press the space bar to activate each roll and move of the game.

  25. Clicking on this menu item will open a window asking you to input your name. Type in your name up to 12 characters in length. The game in progress will be unaffected. This window will automatically open the first time that you startup the program.

  30. There are two options, Match play or Money play.  Match style play is used in tournaments around the world and is played to a fixed number of points. The optimum cube handling and checker play strategy is significantly different than in money style or "fun" games

  32. Selecting match play opens this window:

  46. This is the default window. You may set the match length from 2 to 25 points. Your score and my score must be less than the match length. Use the tab key to move to the different edit fields. Press the OK button or hit the return  key when done.

  59. Enter the amount desired between $1 and $100 per point. Then hit return.
